HTJC's Premier Pet Care Services

An outside romp with Norm, Overland Park dog walker!

Overland Park Dog Walking leash
Dog Walking:

A walk is typically 30 minutes long which covers about 1.5 miles depending on the fitness of your pup and weather conditions. The beginning and end of our walk will consist of your dog walking side-by-side on a short lead in order to instill a “pack” leadership mentality. While being at the side of his walker, your pet will feel the energy of his “pack leader”, learning to accept his role as a member of the pack and not a leader. The middle part of our walk will be spent on a retractable leash allowing your dog to roam around, sniff new places and be a dog!

A log or a checklist will be left for you with a record of any and all happenings during the walk – good or bad – as well as any additional services that were completed such as cleaning of muddy paws, filling water bowls, feeding if needed, retrieving the mail, etc. The walk route is measured with a GPS system including the miles and time which can be left for the client upon request.

We proudly provide dog walking in Overland Park and surrounding areas.

We also offer this service at Oxford Animal Hospital to provide your pets with Overland Park dog walking even when they’re not at home! Learn more about our exclusive services with Oxford Animal Hospital and how it works by reading our brochure.

Overland Park Dog Running leash
Dog Running:

A run is an enhanced exercise routine for your pet to provide the many benefits that daily exercise offers: better circulation, increased muscle tone, release of excess energy and more. Our run, just like the walk, is structured at the beginning and end with your pup running at the side of the runner to keep pace and achieve a “pack” mentality. The free time of the run will be spent with your dog on a retractable leash for him to sniff, explore and be a dog! Depending on your pet’s fitness and weather conditions, a 30-minute run covers about 3 miles.

A log or a checklist will be left for you with a record of any and all happenings during the run – good or bad – as well as any additional services that were completed such as cleaning of muddy paws, filling water bowls, feeding if needed, retrieving the mail, etc. The running route is measured with a GPS system including the miles and time which can be left for the client upon request.

We also offer this service at Oxford Animal Hospital to provide your pets with professional dog running even when they’re not at home! Learn more about our exclusive services with Oxford Animal Hospital and how it works by reading our brochure.

Overland Park Dog Walkers Custom Programs leash
Customized Walk/Run Programs:

Since each dog is different in their fitness and exercise abilities, you can request a combination of walking and running. Maybe you want your dog to spend half of his time walking and the other half running during the day's exercise period to get in a bit of extra calorie burning? Perhaps you want to have a weekly schedule with your dog running every other day? Maybe you want your pup to go a certain minimum distance every day. A customized schedule can be planned on an individual basis.

Contact us today to discuss a perfect, custom exercise routine for your pet.
