Happy Tails of Johnson County lives by a different philosophy than most pet sitters and dog walkers. This business was started purely from the love of animals that owners Norm and Susan Berlinski possess. With Bachelor’s degrees in Education and Master’s degrees in Counseling and Information Technology between them, Norm and Susan are very well-educated with over 50 years of experience in their respective fields. They have chosen to leave the corporate world to pursue their passion for animals.

Happy Tails is dedicated to being the best, not the biggest, pet care provider of Johnson County, Kansas – always going the extra step to ensure your pet has the most enjoyable walk, the most love and the best care wags can buy!

Norm and Susan have been pet owners and lovers their entire lives – caring for a variety of pets with an array of personalities, needs and demands. Working one-on-one with employees from Cornell University’s School of Veterinary Science, Norm and Susan have learned the ins and outs of responsible pet ownership when both their dog and cat were suffering with medical issues. Daily injections, special diets and hand-feeding are just some of the hurtles they had to overcome for their pets’ welfare. They are firm believers in providing the best for animals – whether they are in their home or yours.

Studying the practices of dog trainers such as Cesar Millan and others, Norm and Susan have a vast knowledge of behavioral training and have studied the proper ways to deal with aggressive, troubled or undisciplined dogs. Both owners have been through dog training courses and are still expanding their knowledge to this day. You can be sure your pet will be in the best hands for both their training and their health. Norm and Susan are trained in pet CPR and first aid – making sure your pet will always be safe and cared for by trained, experienced pet lovers.

Throughout the years, Norm and Susan have cared for the pets of family and friends. By deciding to give up the corporate world they know so well, they are offering their passion, knowledge and love to your pets. They wish to be a staple in your pets’ lives – a friend, neighbor and care provider for anything your pet desires.
